Now ( jr NTR & Hansika Motwani) Acting in a movie which is named as Kantri.

The film marks the Directorial Debut of Meher Ramesh. Meher Ramesh is long term associate of Hot shot Director Puri Jagannath and is said to be a key contributor in several films.

Fresh from his block buster success Yamadonga in the direction of S.S.Rajamouli, NTR in his slim avatar looks even more macho with stubble in the first images circulated of KANTRI. It may be recalled that NTR was successfully introduced in a lead role in the film Student No.1 few years ago also directed by S.S. Raja Mouli and produced by Vyjayanthi’s associate production house Swapna Cinema. Now for the first time NTR stars in a film by Vyjayanthi banner that bears the image of the legendary Sr. NTR as their logo.

Though not a sensational hit, ‘Yamadonga’ achieved a hit talk and hence NTR is getting ready with a renewed vigour for ‘Kantri’. Incidentally the character’s name is ‘Kranti’, a tongue twister for ‘Kantri’. Besides, Hansika, there is another heroine in the movie. The unit first selected Amritha Rao and later tried to take Zia Khan of ‘Nissabdh’-fame in Bollywood. However, the opportunity knocked the door of Ria Sen, daughter of Moon Moon Sen of ‘Sirivennela’-fame. Though Hansika Motwani’s debut film ‘Desamuduru’ was a blockbuster, she did not sign any Telugu film after that despite several offers. Whatever be the reasons, after ‘Desamuduru’, Hansika signed the dotted line for ‘Kantri’ opposite NTR.

If Mani Sarma would have his way, then NTR will be singing once again. He has already rendered his voice a couple of times. Recently, he was heard singing for Yamadonga. It is becoming common for the stars these days to lend their voices at least for one song, just for some fun.
